Still waiting!

Those of you that have been reading my blog for some time already know that I'm presently waiting for a fusion operation on my spine, and have had appointments cancelled at the last minute.

I finally got to see the consultant the other day (well it was one of his understudies actually)

Hooray I thought - progress. But alas my joy was short lived.

"Yes" he said, "you definately need this operation"

"No shit Sherlock!" I thought to myself. "When might it be?" I politely enquired.

"Well, his list is rather busy. It could be about 6 months away"

Stunned Silence!

Oh well, it's back to waiting for an appointment, only this time I'm on the
'in-patients' list instead of the 'out-patients' list.
