The vultures are gathering

What is it about the members of the press?
Why is it that they are 'perched' outside a hospital where George Best is fighting for his life?
No sympathy, and always out to grab a story or picture of someone's demise or mis-fortune.
Seeing it on the news the other day reminded me of a flock of vultures just waiting to pick over the carcase.
The bloke may have been an 'old soak' in later years, but he was great in his prime. He deserves better!
Why don't they just leave him alone!

isn't that what the press is suppose to do, be there to provide us with information as soon as it happens? if we didn't want it, they wouldn't be there. they have no boundaries and we're fine with that (generally speaking)

I know that's what they're there to do, but it really made me sad when I saw them all gathering, waiting for him to die. It seemed so sinister. What must his relatives be feeling.
I'm just an old softy at heart.

As a lifelong man united fan, I was sad to hear about bestie. It put a lump in my throat when Denis Law came out of teh hospital crying. In reality the bloke is going to live till he's 100 or something. How many scares has he survived?
Long may he continue.
